Canada Cup Talent ID: Registration Now Open
Baseball Alberta is now accepting registrations for our Canada Cup Talent ID sessions. This is an opportunity for athletes to be evaluated for Team Alberta’s Canada Cup roster, and to get on the radar for future Team Alberta programming.
Athlete eligibility
Athletes born in 2009 or 2010 (16–17 years old in 2026) are welcome to register from any baseball program, and you do not need to be currently registered in a Baseball Alberta program.
*Overage or Underage players will be contacted directly if they are selected to the final roster
What is the Baseball Canada Cup?
The Baseball Canada Cup is held annually in August (with the Canada Summer Games replacing the tournament every 4th year). The tournament features provincial teams made up of many of the top players in Canada. Team Alberta selects a roster of 20 players to compete.

Talent ID Session Locations & Times
Edmonton – Kinsmen Field House
Time: 11:15 AM – 3:15 PM
Dates: March 7th or 21st
Calgary – Webber Academy Athletic Park (Indoor)
Time: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Dates: April 11th or 18th
Please register for 1 session only (choose one date/location).
What to bring
Athletes must bring all baseball equipment, including: glove, bat, helmet, appropriate footwear, and catcher’s gear (if applicable). Running shoes and wood or wood composite bats are preferred, but if not available, metal is fine.

If you are registering your child, please ensure you are added as a contact under the participant’s Spordle account.
